Email is the preferred channel for controlled drawings, revision notes and quotation records. Use phone or WeChat for timing and clarification, then confirm technical changes in writing so tooling, quality and purchasing work from the same requirement.
Send the 3D model, controlled 2D drawing, annual demand, alloy, finish and required approval evidence together so engineering and purchasing can review one complete scope.
Complete RFQ inputs
What to send for a useful engineering and commercial review.
A 3D model helps evaluate geometry; the controlled 2D drawing remains the authority for material, datums, tolerances, finish, notes and revision.
| Input | What to include | Why Huabo needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Drawing package | Matching 3D model and controlled 2D drawing with revision | Prevents quotation or tooling from using obsolete geometry |
| Material | Alloy standard, certificates and permitted alternatives | Sets the casting, finishing, validation and commercial basis |
| Demand | Prototype quantity, annual demand, batch size and launch timing | Guides tooling life, cavity, capacity and sampling assumptions |
| Critical function | Datums, sealing, bearing, thermal, thread, load or visible zones | Connects DFM, fixtures, inspection and functional evidence to buyer risk |
| Secondary operations | CNC features, cleaning, blasting, coating, anodizing, masking or assembly | Makes supplier quotations technically comparable |
| Quality and logistics | Reports, tests, traceability, packaging, destination and delivery terms | Defines the complete release and export scope |
Before sending files, review the complete die casting RFQ checklist, Huabo quality and inspection scope, and IATF 16949 certificate evidence.
After you send the drawing
A clear path from first review to a comparable quotation.
Timing depends on drawing completeness, tool complexity, special tests and unresolved specifications. Huabo should confirm open questions rather than hide them inside a generic price.
- Receive and identifyConfirm company, contact, files, revision and intended application.
- Engineering reviewCheck castability, parting, slides, wall transitions, datums, machining, finish and validation inputs.
- Clarify and quoteReturn assumptions, exclusions, technical questions, tooling/part scope and commercial terms.
- Sample and releaseAfter order and tooling, use agreed samples and evidence to close issues before repeat production.
Drawing confidentiality
Send only the information authorized for supplier review.
Mark confidential files and ask for a nondisclosure agreement before transfer when your company requires one. Huabo should use project files for manufacturability, quotation and approved production work, with access and revision responsibility defined through the commercial relationship.
Confirm critical changes, deviations and approvals through controlled written records. Do not place export-controlled, personal or unrelated sensitive data in free-text form fields.
Send the current drawing for review.
Use the same-page form or email Mr. Li directly with the model, drawing, annual demand, finish and quality requirements.
